Find your balance in our green haven for holistic well-being

About Us

Sparrow Woods Eco-Resort is nestled in a serene nature-clad Hamlet, Jeolikote, 1300 meters above sea level. It is 23 km from Haldwani on the Nainital Highway. Nainital is a further 17 km from the stay.

We, Paras, Vishwajeet, and Shruthi, welcome you to a botanical haven for a memorable eco-conscious stay at our handcrafted Mud Cottages. Each unit of the mud cottage features one bedroom and a convertible living room, designed for comfort and relaxation. We boast our luxurious nature and offerings of tranquillity for you to relax, rewind and rejuvenate.

Positioned amidst lush orchards of Pear, Peaches, Lemons, and more, dense, untouched forests and streams enfold us. The blend offers the perfect space for activities such as bird-watching, hiking, nature walks, or relaxation, with a sip and a book by your side.

Social and Ecological Impact of choosing Sparrow Woods

By choosing Sparrow Woods, you are choosing well-being for yourselves! And for all those Humans and more than Humans who need it! Know how.

We are handcrafted Natural buildings.

The creators have poured in an authentic labour of love. Most of the building materials are from beneath the earth or locally procured. We have used locally found materials that are least processed or transported.

We are Eco-Friendly

Our practices are as Eco-friendly, responsible and mindful as possible. We segregate waste, minimise plastic usage, recycle grey water, recharge groundwater, and organically farm on our kitchen garden and the like.

We support Local.

We have employed and encouraged local craftspeople such as carpenters, painters, and electricians for the required products and services. Soon, we will have a store exhibiting items from the local producers.

We support Social Initiatives.

A section of Sparrow Woods’ income funds the activities of a not-for-profit organisation- Green Life Conservancy. The premises also offer space for Nature-based learning workshops that are conducted free of cost for children from government and other schools in rural areas.

Who are we?

We, the hosts, are also a team indulged in nature/conservation filmmaking, facilitating nature-based learning and education, and bringing forward narratives from communities and areas that need to be heard and seen.
